Composite Schedule

Washington County Community College offers one of the most unique educational environments on the East Coast. Located in Calais, ME, the 400-acre campus sits on a hillside overlooking the beautiful St. Croix River.

In addition to modern classrooms, labs, and residential buildings, the college takes advantage of its proximity to the nearby Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge and to some of the most spectacular rivers, mountains, and lakes in the Northeast. In fact, one of Maine’s best snowmobile trails is located behind the college’s residence halls, providing miles of outstanding winter recreation opportunities.

Among the college’s facilities:

St. Croix Hall houses an auditorium for concerts, presentations, and other community activities as well as a gymnasium with basketball, volleyball and a state of the art rock climbing wall.

The Outdoor Adventure Center, located in the residential complex, has a range of equipment available for student use, from kayaks to canoes and camping gear to mountain bikes for spring, summer and fall.

The college’s two residence halls provide apartment-style housing for about 145 students each year. The campus is within walking distance of downtown Calais with its restaurants and shops and just across the St. Croix River from St. Stephen in New Brunswick, Canada.
